Mr. Nace began his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Orlando, Florida. He furthered his career as a partner in several law firms, distributing his expertise to criminal defense.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nace has been lead counsel for more than 50 criminal jury trials. His strengths include his extensive preparation and knowledge of the law. Mr. Nace understands being more prepared than the State Attorney will put his client in a position to get the best possible results. On many cases throughout his career, he has successfully reduced felony charges to misdemeanors after filing and litigating Motions to Suppress. Most recently, Mr. Nace represented a client who was charged with 41 felony sex offense counts based on law enforcement’s seizure of computer equipment. Mr. Nace filed a Motion to Suppress Evidence in Unlawful Search and Seizure wherein he successfully argued that there was no valid exception to the warrant requirement, and that law enforcement failed to obtain a necessary warrant. After a lengthy two-day hearing, the Court granted the Motion to Suppress and the State Attorney’s Office, without the necessary evidence to proceed, filed a Nolle Prosequi on all 41 counts thereby dismissing the case in its entirety. Without this result, Mr. Nace’s client was facing the possibility of life in prison.
As a result of his litigation expertise, he has continued to render favorable outcomes while serving as a strong advocate both inside and outside the courtroom. Mr. Nace’s involvement with contested cases has enabled him to help many people throughout the community.
